What Makes Our Cash Benefit Unique?

Now you can offer your clients a built-in cash benefit with no elimination period. And that’s something they won’t find from any other insurance company. This unique cash benefit is available on all of Mutual of Omaha’s new LTCi products.

The Choice of Cash or Reimbursement
Your clients have the option to choose how they prefer to receive policy benefits:

  • Cash (a percentage of the policy’s maximum monthly benefit for home health care) is available beginning with the first day of qualified need. That means there’s no elimination period to satisfy, and the cash can be used to help support your clients’ activities of daily living
  • Reimbursement benefits are available after satisfying the policy’s elimination period. This allows your clients to be reimbursed for actual long-term care expenses they incur, up to the full maximum monthly benefit of the policy

The Flexibility to Switch
Your clients also have the flexibility to switch between cash and reimbursement benefits whenever they choose. This gives them maximum control over their care options and allows them to use their policy benefits to meet their needs. Just be sure they understand that any days in which cash benefits are received do not count toward the elimination period for reimbursement benefits.
